What does the word safari conjure up for you? Visions of migrating herds in Africa and the thrill of encountering the Big Five? Well how about a safari in raw, unspoilt landscapes as diverse as the humid Indian jungle, vast African plains and deserts, or the untamed wilderness of South America? Stay with us and we’ll take you there ...
The JUST THE PLANET team would like to introduce you to a fresh definition of the Swahili word ‘safari’, literally meaning ‘journey’. We invite you to embrace a lifestyle so unique that it’ll have a profound effect on your perception of the legendary safari experience forever.
We guarantee you’ll be hooked, and will find time to return to these sacred, life-enriching wildernesses as often as you can.
JUST THE PLANET also focuses on the contribution we can all make to conservation and to sustaining these wilderness areas. What can you do?

How can you give back?
We know you care about eco-friendly options and would like to support community linked or conservation-based projects while you travel. Each month, we’ll highlight a project that benefits from your visit:
Singita Pamushana safari lodge, Zimbabwe, is actively involved in the upliftment of local communities through various development initiatives spearheaded by the Malilangwe Trust.
This project currently feeds 25 000 school children daily. Guests' contributions and any profits from commercial tourism operations are ploughed back into these initiatives to create a better life for local communities.
